Material:


 1 kg beef

 baby potato

 2 pieces of turmeric leaves

 1 lemongrass stalk

 4 lime leaves

 1 bay leaf

 1 tablespoon ambu-ambu (can skip)

 1 ounce finely ground chili

 1 kg thick coconut milk


Fine Material:


 10 large red onions

 5 garlic

 Ginger (thumb size)

 Young galangal (the size of a thumb)

 1 package of curry/rendang spices (coriander, cardamom, deaf flowers, cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg)

 Salt (to taste)


 How to Cook Rendang:


 1. Put all ingredients in a skillet/cauldron except meat, potatoes and ambu-ambu (dry coconut typical of Padang cuisine).

2. Stir briefly until the coconut milk boils slightly.


 3. Add the meat and ambu-ambu.


 4. When the rendang is bubbling, add the potatoes.


 5. Stir again until the rendang is cooked (removes the oil) and the rendang is black.
